Change is more than understanding why. It is experiencing something new.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, listen inward, and meet long-standing patterns with greater clarity and compassion.
Beyond insight, toward lasting change.
Experiential therapy means we do more than talk about patterns from a distance.
We gently notice thoughts, emotions, body responses, and relationship patterns as they arise in the session. With curiosity and care, we create opportunities to experience something different in real time, not simply understand what happened in the past.
This does not mean forcing emotion or moving faster than feels safe. You remain in charge of the pace. My role is to help you stay connected to yourself while we explore what is happening beneath the surface.
Different lenses, one human process.
I draw from these approaches flexibly. Therapy is tailored to you rather than shaped around a rigid protocol.
Internal Family Systems
IFS helps us understand the protective parts of you that work hard to prevent pain, rejection, or overwhelm. Instead of fighting those parts, we approach them with curiosity so there is more room for calm, choice, and inner clarity.
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy
AEDP focuses on emotion as it unfolds in the present moment. In a steady therapeutic relationship, we make space for feelings that may have once been too much to hold alone, and notice the strength that emerges through processing them.
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
EFIT explores the attachment needs beneath recurring emotional and relationship patterns. It can help you understand how you reach for connection, protect yourself from hurt, and build a more secure relationship with yourself and others.
The approach is tailored to you, grounded in what feels meaningful, useful, and true to your experience.
Collaborative, attentive, and gently active.
There may be moments of conversation, reflection, quiet, emotion, humor, or simply noticing what is present.
We slow the pattern down.
Rather than rushing toward an answer, we notice what is happening within you right now.
We make sense of protection.
Responses such as overthinking, shutting down, pleasing, or pushing through often developed for a reason.
We create a new experience.
With support, you can practice relating to emotion, needs, and connection in a different way.
We carry it into daily life.
The goal is greater freedom and choice in the moments that matter outside the therapy room.
A thoughtful fit matters.
This work may resonate if…
- You understand your patterns intellectually but still feel caught in them.
- You are tired of performing, over-functioning, or disconnecting from your needs.
- You want therapy that includes emotion, the body, and relationships, not only advice.
- You value depth, collaboration, and a pace that respects your nervous system.
What this work is not
- You will not be pushed to disclose or feel more than you are ready for.
- You will not be expected to arrive with the right words or a perfect goal.
- You will not be reduced to a diagnosis, symptom list, or one-size-fits-all plan.
- You will not be asked to navigate difficult experiences alone.
